Piper Cub planes appeared in Poland after the war when the lach of flying gear and good values of those planes made the Communiation Ministry bui them from USAAF from an American occupation zone.

140 Piper Cub L-4 planes were bought and they came to Poland around the beginning of year 1947.
Almost all of them needed repairs, because almost 2 years stance on the air had a negative effent on their technical state. In Poland those planes were being repaired in Bydgoszcz, Gdańsk, ŁódŸ and Bielsko-Biała.
